This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Capture and create information pertinent to the patient revenue process.
• Collect and analyze data that affects patient revenue.
• Implement complex regulations in the workplace to achieve intended results.
• Document or generate revenue while upholding high production and quality standards in line with DUHS policies.
• Establish and cultivate customer relationships to collect and process information or address concerns.
• Facilitate accurate reimbursement and enhance internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Utilize general office equipment effectively.
• Draft letters and manage spreadsheets.
• Input and organize data efficiently.
• Work autonomously and make decisions concerning individual work tasks.
• Execute tasks as directed by the immediate supervisor or manager.
• Residency in North Carolina is required.
• Basic understanding of grammar and mathematical principles at a high school level.
• Some postsecondary education is preferred.
• Additional training or familiarity with related business practices is advantageous.
• A minimum of two years of experience in hospital access, physician office, billing and collections, or a comparable mix of relevant education and/or experience.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Capability to analyze data, manage multiple tasks, and work independently.
• Skill in developing and maintaining professional, service-oriented relationships with patients, physicians, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Understanding and adherence to policies and procedures are essential.
