Patient Access Specialist – Patient Registration Intake

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Interact with patients, referral sources, sales teams, pharmacy, and nursing staff to facilitate discharge and arrange for nursing and delivery services.

• Generate, communicate, and secure all necessary documentation for new referrals.

• Ensure upfront payment from patients, including assisting them in exploring payment options and guiding them to financial aid programs.

• Aid in the ongoing efforts to maintain clean claims on hold and manage denials, including following up on any missing paperwork.

• Provide support to the Supervisor and Manager with special tasks as required.

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• At least two years of relevant experience is required.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks and support several referrals/priorities simultaneously.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Must possess a keen attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.

• Excellent customer service skills are essential.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and collaborating with cross-functional team members across sales and operations.

• Prior experience in healthcare or medical billing is preferred.
