This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Manage appointment requests and conduct outbound calls to arrange Epic referrals.
• Inform patients about insurance participation, financial responsibilities, and time of service policies.
• Gather patients' insurance and demographic details in EPIC.
• Execute real-time insurance verifications.
• Collect pre-registration data to manage Epic work queue accounts.
• Provide assistance and backup support as necessary.
• Carry out general faxing, filing, and sorting of mail.
• Lead team discussions on intricate patient scheduling requirements.
• Handle escalated cases that involve higher complexity as assigned.
• Raise issues to the lead, supervisor, or manager for resolution.
• Execute other related tasks as assigned.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, including a strong understanding of medical terminology.
• Extensive knowledge in various scheduling complexities and associated workflows.
• Exceptional customer service, problem-solving, and verbal/written communication abilities.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) or similar software are mandatory.
• An Associate's Degree or higher is preferred.
• Previous experience in a high-volume customer service role within a call center is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
