This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Manage appointment requests and conduct outbound calls to arrange Epic referrals.
• Explain insurance participation, financial responsibilities, and the time of service policy to patients.
• Gather patients’ insurance and demographic details within EPIC.
• Execute real-time insurance verification.
• Collect pre-registration details to address accounts in the Epic work queue.
• Provide assistance and back-up coverage as required.
• Carry out general faxing, filing, and sorting of mail.
• Lead team discussions concerning intricate patient scheduling requirements.
• Handle escalated cases with greater complexity as assigned.
• Raise issues to the lead, supervisor, or manager for resolution.
• Undertake other related responsibilities as assigned.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, including a strong understanding of medical terminology.
• Extensive proficiency in managing a variety of scheduling complexities and associated workflows.
• Exceptional customer service, problem-solving abilities, and verbal/written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) or similar software is mandatory.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
