This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Welcome patients and respond to telephone inquiries.
• Arrange appointment requests efficiently.
• Identify any special requirements, including accommodations and interpreter needs.
• Explain insurance participation, financial responsibilities, and time of service policies to patients.
• Gather patients’ insurance and demographic data, registering it in EPIC.
• Conduct real-time insurance verification and interpret the responses.
• Collect pre-registration details to resolve outstanding Epic work queue accounts.
• Make outbound calls for scheduling Epic referrals.
• Provide support to the team and cover additional duties as instructed by the Supervisor and/or Manager.
• Handle general tasks such as faxing, filing, and sorting mail.
• Undertake other related responsibilities as assigned.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience, including a solid understanding of medical terminology.
• A Bachelor’s Degree or completion of college-level coursework is preferred.
• Previous experience in a high-volume customer service environment, particularly in a call center, is preferred.
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
