Patient Access Scheduler

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Coordinate patient appointments for diagnostic tests, surgical procedures, therapy sessions, physician consultations, and other treatments.

• Collect and confirm demographic details and insurance information.

• Register patients and input data into the scheduling system.

• Operate within a call center-style environment.

• Achieve individual quality performance metrics.

• Deliver professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients of all ages, families, employees, physicians, and community members.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma, Certificate, GED, Training, or experience.

• Successfully complete and pass the Patient Access training course.

• Less than 1 year of required experience.

• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.

• Capability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

• Detail-oriented, organized, a team player, compassionate, with excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

• Basic understanding of medical and insurance terminology is preferred.

• Familiarity with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and EMR systems.

• Proficient typing skills.

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements including HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and the Medicare coverage structure, specifically related to medical necessity compliance guidelines.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole is preferred.
