This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Schedule patient appointments for various services including diagnostic, surgical, therapy, physician office visits, and additional procedures/treatments.
• Collect and confirm essential demographic and insurance details.
• Register patients and input data into the scheduling system.
• Operate in a call center-like setting.
• Achieve personal quality performance metrics.
• Deliver professional, empathetic, and friendly service to patients of all ages, families, staff, physicians, and community members.
• High School diploma, Certification, GED, Training, or Experience.
• Successfully complete and pass the Patient Access training program.
• Capability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
• Competence in performing basic mathematical calculations.
• Attention to detail, well-organized, a team player, compassionate, with outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of medical and insurance terminology is preferred.
• Familiarity with computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, knowledge of EMR systems, etc.) and proficient typing skills.
• Awareness of regulatory guidelines including HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage structure, including compliance with medical necessity guidelines.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole is desirable.
• Minimum required experience: less than 1 year.
