This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
β’ Coordinate patient appointments for diagnostic, surgical, therapy, physician office visits, and other treatments/procedures.
β’ Gather and confirm essential demographic and insurance details.
β’ Register patients and input data into the scheduling system.
β’ Operate in a call center-like environment.
β’ Achieve personal quality performance metrics.
β’ Deliver professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients of all ages, families, employees, physicians, and community members.
β’ Uphold the Baptist Health philosophy of service excellence.
β’ High School diploma, Certification, GED, Training, or Experience.
β’ Successfully complete the Patient Access training course.
β’ Capability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work setting.
β’ Proficiency in performing basic mathematical calculations.
β’ Detail-oriented, organized, a team player, compassionate, with excellent customer service and interpersonal communication abilities.
β’ Basic understanding of medical and insurance terminology is preferred.
β’ Experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
β’ Accurate typing abilities.
β’ Familiarity with regulatory guidelines including HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage structure, along with medical necessity compliance standards.
β’ Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole is preferred.
β’ Less than one year of experience is required.
