This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Coordinate patient appointments for diagnostic, surgical, therapy, physician office consultations, and various procedures/treatments.
• Collect and confirm essential demographic and insurance details.
• Register patients and input information into the scheduling system.
• Operate in a call center type atmosphere.
• Achieve individual quality performance metrics.
• Deliver professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients of all ages, their families, employees, physicians, and community members.
• High School diploma, Certificate, GED, Training, or Experience.
• Successfully complete the Patient Access training program.
• Capability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
• Proficient in basic mathematical calculations.
• Detail-oriented, organized, a team player, compassionate, with excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of medical and insurance terminology is preferred.
• Familiarity with computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, knowledge of EMR systems, etc.) and proficient typing skills.
• Awareness of regulatory guidelines including, but not limited to, HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage structure, including medical necessity compliance guidelines.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole is preferred.
