Patient Access Scheduler

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Schedule patient appointments for diagnostics, surgeries, therapies, physician office visits, and other treatments/procedures.

• Collect and confirm essential demographic and insurance details.

• Register patients and input information into the scheduling system.

• Operate in a call center-like environment.

• Achieve individual quality performance metrics.

• Deliver professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients of all ages, along with their families, employees, physicians, and community members.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma, Certificate, GED, Training, or Experience.

• Successfully complete and pass the Patient Access training program.

• Capable of thriving in a high-volume, fast-paced work setting.

• Proficient in performing basic mathematical calculations.

• Detail-oriented, organized, a team player, compassionate, and possess excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

• Basic understanding of medical and insurance terminology is preferred.

• Experience with computer applications (such as Microsoft Office, EMR applications, etc.) and proficient typing skills.

• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines including HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage structure, as well as medical necessity compliance guidelines.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole is preferred.

• Less than one year of the minimum required experience.
