Patient Access Scheduler 1, Rehab – Scheduling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Arrange patient appointments for diagnostic, surgical, therapy, physician office visits, and various other procedures/treatments.

• Collect and confirm demographic and insurance details.

• Register patients and input data into the scheduling system.

• Operate in a call center-like environment.

• Achieve individual quality performance metrics.

• Deliver professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients of all ages, their families, employees, physicians, and community members.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma, Certification, GED, Training, Experience.

• Successfully complete the Patient Access training course.

• Capable of thriving in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.

• Proficient in performing basic mathematical calculations.

• Detail-oriented, organized, a team player, compassionate, with exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

• Basic understanding of medical and insurance terminology is preferred.

• Familiarity with computer applications such as Microsoft Office and EMR systems, alongside accurate typing skills.

• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines including HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and the Medicare coverage structure, particularly medical necessity compliance guidelines.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole is an advantage.

• Less than 1 year of the minimum required experience.
