This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Manage incoming calls from patients, their families, and referring providers to arrange appointments
• Coordinate appointment scheduling across various providers, clinics, departments, practices, and campuses
• Make outbound calls to patients for scheduling specialist and subspecialist appointments
• Gather and update patient demographics, insurance details, and account guarantor information
• Process corrections for insurance and demographic information
• Collect patient liabilities prior to or on the service date, as applicable
• Obtain medical records from external healthcare organizations
• Schedule in-office procedures and reserve procedure rooms
• High school diploma is essential
• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• An associate’s degree in business or a healthcare-related field is preferred
• Prior experience in scheduling and/or phone customer service is preferred
• Experience in a healthcare organization is advantageous
• Bilingual proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing is preferred
• A combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of certification, licensure, or registration if not required
• Potential signing bonus, contingent upon eligibility
• Primarily remote work arrangement
• Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week
