Party Chief

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Oversee and mentor the onboard survey team, offering guidance and support.

• Promote ongoing enhancements in survey operations by maximizing productivity and efficiency.

• Ensure clear and effective communication with Project Management, Client representatives, the Vessel master, and crew.

• Track the progress and quality of work utilizing survey equipment and software.

• Guarantee the timely production of survey deliverables while consistently adhering to high-quality standards.

• Collaborate as a vital member of the vessel team alongside the Captain, Chief Engineer, and OIM to ensure project success.

• Take part in hydrographic and topographic measurements throughout all phases of dredging and offshore projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A diploma in hydrographic surveying, geophysics, geology, engineering, or equivalent experience.

• At least 10 years of pertinent experience within the survey industry.

• Proficient technical knowledge of survey operations, methodologies, and software.

• Strong practical skills and the ability to perform in challenging and remote environments.

• Excellent communication abilities and a critical perspective towards the tasks at hand.

• Fluent in both verbal and written English.

• Proficiency in any additional language is a plus.

• Exceptional attention to detail, quality, and safety.

• Natural talent for empowering and motivating team members, including junior surveyors.

• Willingness and capability to work on one of our vessels for extended durations.

• Rotational schedule of 1:1 for offshore activities or 2:1 for dredging operations.
