Part-Time Water Management Equipment Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the Director of Field Services

• Provide service and account management assistance for clients within a designated region

• Support existing clients by conducting water tests and ensuring equipment maintenance

• Aid in the upkeep of Comprehensive Water Management Programs

• Analyze microbiological data and water chemistry results

• Respond to client inquiries promptly, professionally, and accurately

• Carry out minor maintenance tasks on water monitoring equipment

• Perform on-site measurements using testing instruments, including readings for chlorine, temperature, and pH

• Collect building water samples for laboratory cultures

• After comprehensive training, mentor or train colleagues to foster knowledge sharing and team growth

• Travel to client locations to service equipment and gather water samples

• Provide occasional support in additional regions

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must reside near Des Moines, IA

• A background in science, engineering, or mathematics is preferred

• Ability to learn the operation of equipment that assesses pH, temperature, and residual oxidant levels in water

• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities

• Strong presentation and facilitation skills

• Self-motivated and proactive; possess a "Can do" mindset

• Keen interest in acquiring new knowledge and concepts

• Commitment to high ethical standards and promoting a diverse workplace

• Capacity to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced business environment while juggling multiple priorities

• Proficient in MS Office, Gmail, and various Google applications

• Willingness to travel to client sites within approximately 300 miles of Des Moines, IA

• Ability to travel overnight approximately once a month

• Capability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary

• Ability to walk extensively around client sites, ascend stairs or ladders, and lift up to 25 pounds

• All hired individuals must verify their identity and work eligibility in the United States, completing the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire
