
Part-Time Social Studies Teacher, Grades 6-12

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Provide instruction to students in grades 6β12 as a digital educator.
β’ Identify instructional techniques, strategies, and methods, adapting the curriculum and learning styles to address and assess student needs.
β’ Maintain communication with parents/guardians regarding academic and disciplinary matters through phone calls, notes, progress reports, and various media.
β’ Execute clerical tasks, including logging communications in the SIS and finalizing grades.
β’ Adhere to regular and predictable attendance requirements as outlined by the manager.
β’ Create activities, resources, strategies, methods, and lesson plans that align with learning objectives and school guidelines.
β’ Assess and evaluate student performance, behavior, progress, and comprehension through grades, progress reports, and assessments aligned with learning objectives.
β’ Uphold the confidentiality of student and staff information.
β’ Contribute to the professional development of oneself and colleagues by sharing and planning curriculum, staying informed about educational trends, and maintaining teaching certifications.
β’ Collaborate to fulfill the overall goals of the school program.
β’ Foster a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
β’ Undertake additional duties as assigned.
β’ A minimum of a Bachelorβs Degree in Education or a Post Bachelor's in Education from an accredited college or university.
β’ A valid State Teaching Certificate from any state; appropriate endorsements may be needed based on the area of instruction, or successful completion of relevant AEPA or NES proficiency exams.
β’ Professional verification of effective classroom teaching performance and/or student teaching experience.
β’ Any equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education that provides comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities.
β’ A satisfactory criminal background check.
β’ An active AZ Department of Public Safety (DPS) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
β’ Capability to utilize instructional adaptive technology tools in online courses.
β’ Proficiency in technology, including computers and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
β’ Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Strong organizational and planning abilities.
β’ Must have a proven track record of regular and punctual attendance.
β’ Occasional travel may be necessary for site visits, meetings, trainings, and/or conferences, which could include overnight stays.
