This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide instruction to students in grades 6–12.
• Identify instructional techniques, strategies, and methods, adjusting the curriculum and learning styles to address and evaluate student needs.
• Engage with parents/guardians regarding academic and discipline matters through phone calls, notes, progress reports, and various media.
• Complete clerical tasks, including documenting communications in SIS and finalizing grades.
• Adhere to regular and predictable attendance requirements as directed by the manager.
• Create activities, resources, strategies, methods, and lesson plans in alignment with learning objectives and school guidelines.
• Evaluate and assess student performance, behavior, progress, and understanding through grades, progress reports, and learning-objective assessments.
• Ensure confidentiality of student and staff information.
• Contribute to professional development by collaborating on curriculum, staying updated with educational trends, and maintaining teaching certifications.
• Work together to fulfill the overall goals of the school program.
• Foster a classroom environment that promotes learning.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
• Act as a digital educator, supporting multiple grades and students within a partnership.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a Post Bachelors in Education from an accredited institution.
• Valid State Teaching Certificate from any state; appropriate endorsements may be necessary based on the area of instruction or successful completion of relevant AEPA or NES proficiency exams.
• Professional verification of successful classroom teaching performance and/or student teaching experience.
• An equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education may be taken into account.
• A satisfactory criminal background check is required.
• Active Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Ability to articulate ideas clearly, maintain a professional demeanor, and demonstrate initiative.
• Familiarity with human behavior and learning processes, including motivation, reinforcement, evaluation, and feedback techniques.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and the capacity to collaborate with teachers, parents, students, alumni, corporate partners, vendors, and admissions personnel.
• Consistent and punctual attendance.
• Proven skills in written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational and planning capabilities.
• Effective problem-solving skills and a commitment to self-directed learning.
• Proficiency in using instructional adaptive technology tools for online courses.
• Competency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Ability to fulfill specified physical demands, including occasional pushing or lifting of up to 15 lbs.
• This position does not offer benefits as it is explicitly ineligible for them.
• Occasional travel may be necessary for site visits, meetings, training sessions, and/or conferences.
