Part-Time, On-Call – Technical Trainer, Instructional Systems Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Create and develop both instructor-led and web-based training materials, which include training plans, storyboards, graphics, assessments, and hands-on exercises.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to convert client business needs into learning objectives and effective solutions.

• Engage in all stages of course creation, from analysis and design to development and delivery.

• Produce eLearning modules, instructor manuals, job aids, and multimedia content.

• Implement adult learning principles and instructional design techniques.

• Utilize graphic design software and multimedia techniques to craft interactive course materials.

• Ensure all deliverables adhere to Section 508 compliance standards.

• Confirm that web-based training outputs are SCORM compliant.

• Remain updated on design tools, technologies, and industry best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience with a BS/BA; or at least 6 years with an MS/MA.

• At least 6 years of practical experience in instructional design.

• A portfolio showcasing strong technical and creative capabilities.

• Experience in developing instructor-led training programs.

• Background in eLearning development.

• Proficiency in using Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline 360 for course creation.

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Capability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

• Preferred experience with SCORM and Section 508 compliance.

• Preferred proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

• Experience in shooting professional videos and editing with Adobe Premiere is preferred.

• Familiarity with multimedia platforms and techniques is preferred.

• Preferred experience collaborating with behavioral researchers and social science teams.

• Familiarity with AI tools for training development is preferred.

• Knowledge of DoD Learning Management Systems like Blackboard or Moodle is preferred.

• An active Secret security clearance is preferred.
