Senior People Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the configuration, upkeep, and enhancement of Workday HCM, which includes intricate business processes, condition rules, approval routing, notifications, security assignments, and workflows related to the worker lifecycle.

• Convert unclear business requirements into scalable system solutions and evaluate the downstream effects across HCM, Benefits, Payroll, reporting, integrations, and the employee experience.

• Act as the subject-matter expert for Benefits systems, encompassing plan configuration, eligibility rules, enrollment workflows, vendor integrations, annual enrollment readiness, issue resolution, and process enhancements.

• Assist in the administration of Recruiting Systems, including integrations and data quality management.

• Provide guidance to senior stakeholders regarding system capabilities, new features, configuration trade-offs, and opportunities for automation.

• Define and manage workflows, regression, release, and user acceptance testing across Workday, Benefits, Ashby, and related systems.

• Troubleshoot complex system and data challenges, identify root causes, and implement enduring solutions.

• Lead enhancement initiatives from discovery to deployment in collaboration with People Operations, Benefits, Recruiting, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and IT departments.

• Set standards for configuration documentation, test plans, process mappings, release notes, and operational procedures.

• Oversee system health and data integrity, assist with audits and reconciliations, and maintain security and data governance practices.

• Manage Workday and vendor release processes, including impact assessments, testing, and adoption decisions.

• Disseminate systems knowledge and best practices among peers and stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience in configuring and supporting Workday, an HRIS, or similar enterprise business systems.

• Extensive experience with Workday HCM configuration and the Business Process Framework, which includes condition rules, approval routing, notifications, security, and workflow design.

• Capability to independently design and implement complex, cross-system workflows.

• Proven track record of managing projects that enhanced workflows, minimized manual tasks, or introduced automation and tools.

• Proficiency in translating ambiguous business requirements into system solutions and articulating technical trade-offs to both technical and senior audiences.

• Experience in defining and executing testing strategies, including regression, UAT, defect triage, data validation, and production change management.

• Familiarity with Benefits administration or Benefits systems, encompassing eligibility, enrollment, plan configuration, vendor feeds, and annual enrollment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to independently manage competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

• Workday certification or Workday Pro certification in HCM, Benefits, or a related area is a plus.

• Experience with Workday integrations, EIBs, reports, calculated fields, or APIs is advantageous.

• Experience in supporting recruiting system integrations with Workday or other HR systems is a plus.

• Experience with Workday Benefits, Absence, Compensation, Payroll, or Recruiting-related processes is a plus.

• Experience in supporting global HR systems, multiple worker populations, or international expansion is a plus.

• Familiarity with security configuration, role-based access, audit readiness, or data governance is a plus.
