Senior Presales Systems Engineer – Hybrid Cloud Storage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the sales team to design and implement unstructured data solutions customized to meet local enterprise requirements.

• Operate both independently and alongside OEM storage specialists to qualify and progress opportunities throughout Belgium.

• Facilitate technical deep-dives, whiteboarding sessions, and solution designs that encompass cross-border data replication, hybrid-cloud bursting, and multi-protocol file access.

• Manage on-premises and public-cloud Proof of Concept deployments.

• Develop technical proposals and responses to RFPs addressing architecture, data protection, and performance at scale.

• Lead whitespace reviews, account mapping, and business planning efforts to enhance regional forecast accuracy and evaluate customer technical directions.

• Monitor regional trends, including AI training clusters and EU sovereign cloud mandates.

• Contribute to the creation of case studies and technical content.

• Act as a trusted technical advisor for customers, sales personnel, and partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in both Dutch and English.

• Over 5 years of experience in presales systems engineering.

• More than 3 years specifically focused on unstructured data, file, and object storage.

• Solid understanding of Windows, Linux, and Unix/BSD operating systems.

• Familiarity with NFS, SMB, and S3 protocols.

• Practical experience in public cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

• Cloud architect certifications are advantageous.

• Working knowledge of the file and object storage market and its key players.

• A consultative, value-driven sales approach with a proven history of advancing enterprise deals from initial pitch to alignment with technical champions.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% within the region.

• Candidates must be residing in Belgium and possess the legal right to work in Belgium.

• Bonus: familiarity with data centers, high-density cooling systems, connectivity ecosystems, Media & Entertainment, Life Sciences, Energy, HPC/AI, EU data privacy, and sovereign cloud regulations.
