Part Time Nurse Practitioner – Thurs/Sat Shift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver medication abortion care and other sexual and reproductive health services through Hey Jane’s online platform.

• Conduct consultations via video, phone, or asynchronous methods.

• Review the medical intake responses submitted by patients.

• Communicate with patients using a HIPAA-compliant messaging application and during live appointments.

• Develop suitable treatment plans for patients.

• Provide ongoing follow-up care.

• Prescribe medications to be sent to mail-order or local pharmacies.

• Address patient inquiries that require further medical assessment.

• Guide nursing staff on referrals and additional prescriptions as needed.

• Collaborate with nursing and patient advocate teams, who primarily manage administrative tasks, patient education and support, non-urgent assistance, and follow-up evaluations.

• Active Board Certification in good standing to practice medicine.

• Valid state licensure (NP).

• Willingness and eligibility to seek additional licenses.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in providing abortion and reproductive healthcare.

• A passion for offering compassionate and caring services to a diverse population with a non-judgmental, patient-centered approach.

• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

• Proficient in using online tools and technology to deliver care and interact with patients.

• Professional dedication to the mission, philosophy, and objectives of Hey Jane.

• Enthusiastic about working in a dynamic startup environment where processes may evolve rapidly.

• Motivated to engage in continuous process improvement to enhance tools and operations for better care delivery.

• Experience in a startup environment (bonus).
