This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide educational instruction to students in grades 6–12 as a digital educator.
• Identify instructional methods, techniques, and strategies, tailoring curriculum and learning styles to cater to and evaluate student needs.
• Maintain communication with parents and guardians regarding academic and disciplinary matters through various mediums including phone calls, notes, and progress reports.
• Carry out clerical responsibilities, such as documenting communication in the Student Information System (SIS) and finalizing student grades.
• Adhere to regular and predictable attendance as directed by the manager.
• Create activities, resources, lesson plans, strategies, and methods that align with learning objectives and school guidelines.
• Assess and evaluate student performance, behavior, progress, and comprehension through grades, progress reports, and learning-objective assessments.
• Ensure the confidentiality of student and staff information.
• Contribute to professional development by collaborating on curriculum planning, staying informed about educational trends, and maintaining teaching certifications.
• Work cooperatively to fulfill the overall goals of the school program.
• Foster a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a Post Bachelors in Education from an accredited college or university.
• A valid State Teaching Certificate from any state; appropriate endorsements may be necessary based on the instructional area.
• Successful completion of the relevant AEPA or NES proficiency exams, as applicable to the certification pathway.
• Professional verification of effective classroom teaching performance and/or student teaching experience.
• Any equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education that provides comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• A satisfactory criminal background check.
• An active AZ Department of Public Safety (DPS) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Capability to utilize instructional adaptive technology tools in online courses.
• Proficiency in technology, computers, and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Ability to report to work consistently and punctually.
• Occasional overnight travel may be necessary for site visits, meetings, training sessions, and/or conferences.
