Part-Time Instructor – Defensive Driving, Virtual

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Instruct classroom courses aimed at adults and teenagers, emphasizing the significance of safe driving.

• Provide life-saving Driver Safety Course content to drivers, including those mandated by state or court regulations to undergo driver retraining.

• Facilitate classes during weekends, weekdays, and evenings.

• Offer four to eight hours of instruction based on the specific curriculum.

• Uphold the mission of the National Safety Council to enhance lives through driver safety education.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in public speaking is essential.

• Capability to lead productive classroom discussions.

• Proficiency in managing a diverse student population.

• Educational background in sociology, psychology, counseling, or education is preferred.

• A personal email address is necessary for communication via the Instructor Portal and DDC Information Highway.

• Competence in addressing equipment malfunctions, facility challenges, and managing individuals with learning or behavioral issues, as well as class interruptions.

• Availability during weekends is preferred.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Employment visa sponsorship is not required.
