• Prepare financial reports and dashboards for leadership.
• Conduct monthly scenario modeling to aid in investment and cost-related decisions.
• Participate in leadership meetings to represent the financial perspective in operational matters.
• Collaborate with the VP of Operations on forecasts, models, and resource planning.

• Deliver ad-hoc financial analyses and provide coaching to non-finance stakeholders.
• Assist with strategic initiatives and long-term planning.
• Oversee the monthly closing process to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
• Manage revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 / IFRS 15, including handling deferred revenue, chargebacks, cancellations, and prior-period adjustments.
• Supervise ChargeBee and Stripe billing operations, ensuring smooth subscription data integration into the general ledger.
• Direct the bookkeeper and oversee bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger activities.
• Maintain audit readiness and coordinate with external tax advisors.
• Establish and document internal controls.
• Assess financial tools and workflows, identifying opportunities for automation, including AI-assisted reconciliation and reporting.
• Create runbooks and documentation for standardized finance processes.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, particularly within a SaaS or subscription-based organization.
• In-depth hands-on experience in FP&A: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling are essential skills — you are capable of building driver-based models and rolling forecasts from scratch, rather than just modifying existing templates.
• Proven ability to translate numerical data into actionable decisions, including scenario modeling, leadership reporting, and collaboration with non-finance leaders on operational and investment decisions.
• Strong understanding of SaaS/subscription metrics — MRR/ARR, churn, LTV, CAC, payback, and net dollar retention — along with the consumer subscription economics that underpin them.
• Controller-level accounting expertise: you have managed or closely supervised the monthly closing process and revenue recognition (ASC 606 or IFRS 15), enabling you to oversee the accounting function rather than merely analyzing its outputs.
• Proficiency with subscription billing platforms (ChargeBee, Stripe, Recurly, or similar) and accounting software (QuickBooks).
• Experience with consumer or self-service subscription models (high-volume, low-ACV).
• Background working in a startup or high-growth company with revenues under $25M, where you have taken on multiple roles and functioned as a generalist.
• Excellent communication skills in English — capable of clearly presenting financial insights to non-financial stakeholders and engaging effectively in leadership meetings.
• A collaborative and confident communicator who excels in a fully remote setting — you actively seek cross-functional partnerships rather than waiting for requests.
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification, along with direct experience with ChargeBee and a comfort level in utilizing AI tools for financial analysis, are all significant advantages.
• Collaborate with a distributed global team across Latin America, Europe, and the US, which has embraced a remote-first approach since 2018.
• Competitive salary.
• Flexible work schedule.
