Part-Time Family Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee Nurse Practitioners as they provide multidisciplinary care.

• Facilitate virtual healthcare for underserved patients utilizing internal care delivery technology and clinical expertise.

• Deliver virtual care to Medicare patients facing chronic, complex, and interrelated medical, behavioral health, and social challenges.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, care managers, and other members of the care team.

• Assist in care coordination and address the intricate health needs of patients.

• Aid in the development and enhancement of holistic clinical programs.

• Contribute insights on clinical initiatives currently in development.

• Work collaboratively within a diverse, inclusive, interdisciplinary team.

• Report to physician leadership.

• Initially work remotely for 5–10 hours per week.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working with patients who have complex social and healthcare needs.

• A strong interest in collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team.

• Tech-savvy with experience in digital-first healthcare, including telemedicine.

• Comfortable navigating various technology platforms.

• Must be physically located in California.

• A quiet, HIPAA-compliant, internet-connected workspace is essential.

• Board certification or eligibility as a Family Physician is required.

• Must be eligible for Medicare enrollment.

• Capable of providing care to patients across all age groups, from pediatrics to geriatrics.

• Experience with Medicaid/FQHC clinics that serve underfunded or underserved populations is preferred.

• Familiarity with managing chronic diseases in Medicare beneficiaries is beneficial.

• A valid medical license in California, along with additional state licensure or willingness to pursue them, is necessary.

• An active California DEA license or a commitment to obtain one is required.

• Experience in a startup environment is a plus.
