Part-Time Family Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee Nurse Practitioners who provide multidisciplinary care to individuals facing serious mental illness, substance use disorders, homelessness, and/or significant medical needs.

• Deliver virtual care to Medicare patients dealing with chronic, complex medical, behavioral health, and social challenges.

• Facilitate virtual healthcare for underserved populations by collaborating with Nurse Practitioners and utilizing internal care delivery technology.

• Utilize strong clinical judgment in patient care.

• Assist in developing and enhancing clinical programs that address patients’ barriers and care gaps.

• Work alongside physicians, nurse practitioners, care managers, and other members of the care team.

• Aid in care coordination and address intricate patient requirements.

• Provide feedback on clinical programs.

• Collaborate within a diverse and inclusive team.

• Report to physician leadership.

• Assist in the rollout of Pair Team’s Medicare program across various states.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working with patients who have complex social and healthcare requirements.

• A strong desire and experience in collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team.

• Comfortable with technology and experienced in digital-first healthcare, including telemedicine.

• Proficient in navigating various technology platforms.

• Must be physically located in California.

• A quiet, HIPAA-compliant workspace with internet connectivity.

• Board certification or eligibility as a Family Physician.

• Eligibility for enrollment in Medicare.

• Capability to work with patients across all age groups, from pediatrics to geriatrics.

• Experience in working with Medicaid/FQHC clinics.

• Background in managing chronic diseases for Medicare beneficiaries.

• Valid medical license in California.

• Active California DEA registration or a willingness to obtain one.

• Openness to acquire additional state licenses as needed.

• Experience in a startup environment is a plus.

• Available for PST hours to address urgent needs/support.

• Must reside and work from within the United States.
