This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Deliver constructive and timely feedback to students on various assessment tasks.
β’ Foster a positive, safe, inclusive, and student-centric educational atmosphere.
β’ Complete necessary assignments by deadlines, including final grades, assessments, grading rubrics, and documentation for grade appeals.
β’ Engage in relevant professional development and/or scholarly activities as required.
β’ Offer feedback to the course lead regarding the course curriculum.
β’ Identify at-risk students and partner with student services.
β’ Collaborate closely with the Academic Program Director and fellow faculty to enhance program quality, student engagement, and overall student success.
β’ A minimum of a master's degree in education or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
β’ A current and valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential.
β’ Familiarity with California frameworks, standards, assessment systems, and contemporary educational initiatives.
β’ Over 5 years of secondary (grades 6-12) classroom teaching experience in a Single Subject area.
β’ At least 3 years within the past 5 years of secondary classroom teaching demonstrating up-to-date knowledge of instructional practices, student engagement strategies, curriculum standards, and assessment methods.
β’ Experience in mentoring, coaching, supervising, or assisting teacher candidates, novice teachers, or interns.
β’ Higher education teaching experience in teacher preparation, particularly in methods, clinical practice, supervision, or field experience courses.
β’ Proficient in using data to enhance instruction and candidate performance.
β’ Knowledge of teacher performance assessments (CalTPA or equivalent).
β’ Experience supporting diverse student populations, including English learners and students with disabilities.
β’ Experience working with adult learners and facilitating professional development for educators.
β’ Demonstrated proficiency in instructional technology and educational AI tools, including their responsible, ethical, and effective integration into teaching and learning.
β’ Preferred: Experience in teacher leadership roles such as department chair, instructional coach, mentor teacher, PLC leader, curriculum leader, grade-level lead, or similar roles.
β’ Preferred: Experience collaborating with schools, districts, and community partners to enhance teacher preparation.
β’ Submission of a cover letter, curriculum vitae, statement of teaching experience, and unofficial transcripts of the highest degree earned.
