Part-Time Faculty – Fine Arts

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.

📋 Description

• Act as an Instructor of Record for both undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

• Conduct fully online and asynchronous YourPace competencies.

• Engage in interpersonal interactions with students.

• Instruct in subject areas such as Art History, Art Theory, Digital Arts, Digital Media Production, Drawing, Film Studies, Foundations of Design, Graphic Design, and Photography.

• Commence teaching assignments at any of the six or eight-week session start dates throughout the year.

• Submit a cover letter detailing relevant experience, interests, suitability, and potential subjects for instruction.

• Participate in ongoing recruitment as programmatic needs arise.

⛳️ Requirements

• For undergraduate degree programs: at least a master’s degree or terminal degree in the field from an accredited institution, and/or substantial work experience in a related area.

• For graduate degree programs: a Doctorate, terminal, or advanced degree in the field of study, and/or significant professional experience in a related domain.

• Possess the necessary technology to teach in a fully online format.

• A computer or laptop with suitable processing speed.

• Access to a high-speed internet connection.

• A webcam.

• A microphone.

• Preferred experience in teaching at the college level.

• Preferred experience in online teaching.

• Preferred experience in a competency-based education model.

• A cover letter, curriculum vitae or résumé, and transcript for the highest degree earned are required for a complete application.

• References must be provided if selected for the final stages.

• Background screening is required if selected to proceed.
