Part-Time Faculty, Doctorate of Social Work Mentor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Deliver high-quality instruction utilizing a pre-established curriculum

• Mentor doctoral students and engage in doctoral committees

• Offer pertinent feedback to facilitate successful course completion

• Be accessible within 48 hours, excluding weekends and public holidays, via phone, email, and in the courseroom

• Travel within the United States for doctoral residency programs

• Leverage the online learning platform to enhance student learning

• Set high expectations and clearly communicate evaluation criteria

• Comply with University policies and procedures

• Participate in faculty meetings, workshops, and mandatory training sessions

• Engage in additional activities based on the needs of the university

• Facilitate asynchronous discussions in the courseroom and provide feedback on assignments

• Evaluate and prepare for future academic quarters

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in the discipline is required for undergraduate level, and three years for graduate level

• Research, scholarly work, or accomplishments in the field are necessary for graduate-level positions

• Experience in conducting and supervising research at the doctoral level is required

• Proficiency in qualitative research is essential

• A master's degree from a Council on Social Work Education accredited and regionally accredited program is required

• A doctorate from an accredited institution in social work or a closely related field, such as Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, or Education, is mandatory

• Must possess a graduate-level Social Work license

• Upon hiring, must achieve at least Graduate Level Social Work licensure in Minnesota, including passing the ASWB exam

• All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution

• Experience in scholarly writing and familiarity with APA 7th edition format is required

• Knowledge of academic assessment and educational technology is necessary

• Strong skills in oral presentation, course planning, and organization are essential

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills are required

• Strong computer proficiency is necessary

• Ability to handle potentially stressful situations in a professional and ethical manner

• Capacity to accommodate the unique needs and expertise of students

• Ability to support a diverse student body and adhere to case management protocols for at-risk students

• Willingness to travel occasionally within the United States

• Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available

• Access to reliable internet, computer, privacy, phone, and video conferencing capabilities in a remote setting is required

• Ability to meet critical thinking and problem-solving demands and effectively communicate with colleagues

• Competence in accessing information through computer systems is necessary
