This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Collaborate closely with attorneys to formulate legal arguments, motions, and various case filings.
• Leverage existing documents and research tools to aid in case development.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests, including Requests for Production, Interrogatories, Notices for Discovery and Inspection, and Requests for Admissions.
• Assist in the creation of motions and legal documents, such as Motions to Strike, Continuances, Proposed Orders, Requests for Judicial Notice, and Evidentiary Objections.
• Oversee e-filing in state, federal, and appellate courts while ensuring adherence to local regulations.
• Manage deposition transcripts and coordinate discovery materials.
• Prepare trial and arbitration binders, exhibits, timelines, and demonstrative materials.
• Review and oversee document production, including redactions and Bates stamping.
• Create routine legal correspondence and case-related documentation.
• Conduct legal research utilizing tools like Westlaw.
• Process HIPAA authorizations and acquire medical records; review and summarize these records to support case strategies.
• Maintain organized case files, calendars, and deadlines.
• Assist with additional firm and office initiatives as necessary.
• Paralegal certificate is mandatory.
• A minimum of 3 years of litigation experience is required.
• Familiarity with e-filing systems and federal filing procedures.
• Experience in creating Medical Chronologies.
• Preference for candidates with Insurance Defense or Insurance Coverage experience.
• Proficient in legal technologies, including NetDocuments (NetDocs), Westlaw, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong legal research and analytical competencies.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting while fostering a collaborative spirit.
• Experience within the Florida jurisdiction is preferred.
