Pain Management Physician Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive and impartial reviews of medical charts in compliance with established clinical standards and evidence-based guidelines.

• Examine medical records and relevant documentation to develop clear and logical clinical conclusions.

• Draft succinct, precise, and justifiable written reports that support review conclusions.

• Execute reviews in accordance with MMRO's quality benchmarks and designated turnaround times.

• Employ MMRO review templates and guarantee that all necessary components are thoroughly and accurately addressed.

• Uphold professionalism, objectivity, and confidentiality throughout the review procedure.

• Respond swiftly to inquiries from MMRO's clinical and operational personnel.

• Engage in mandatory reviewer orientation and continuous training sessions.

• Integrate quality feedback from MMRO's Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, and clinical team.

• Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives through constructive feedback and teamwork.


⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a current and unrestricted M.D. or D.O. license to practice medicine in the United States.

• Hold an active medical license in Colorado.

• Achieve Board Certification through a recognized American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) specialty board.

• Have a minimum of five (5) years of full-time equivalent clinical experience in direct patient care.

• Maintain active clinical practice experience within the last three (3) years.

• Demonstrate strong written communication abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Consistently meet established review deadlines.

• Preferred: Previous experience in peer reviews, independent medical reviews, disability evaluations, utilization review, or expert medical opinions.
