This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Deliver specialized training in sensory-motor skills, cognitive abilities, communication, social interaction, and behavior to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Empower consumers to develop knowledge and skills that enable them to engage as valued members of the community.
• Facilitate training aimed at maintaining or enhancing self-help, socialization, adaptive, and daily living skills.
• Administer first aid and provide appropriate care for injuries and illnesses.
• Implement programs outlined in the consumer’s Individualized Support Plan (ISP) and/or routine care plan.
• Monitor consumer behavior and promptly report any potentially hazardous situations.
• Arrange services and appointments to accommodate family preferences and routines.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation as required.
• Offer attendant care that includes assistance with personal hygiene, bathing, toileting, dressing, ambulation, transfers, eating, meal preparation, and routine care.
• Plan, shop for, store, and prepare nutritious meals.
• Ensure that consumers receive their medications as prescribed.
• Maintain safe and sanitary living conditions through cleaning, laundry, dishwashing, managing linens, household supplies, and garbage disposal.
• Provide respite supervision and support for the emotional, physical, and mental well-being of consumers.
• Offer relief to family members or other caregivers.
• Assist consumers with transportation and daily living tasks.
• Ensure safe transportation to and from home and community activities.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• A valid Arizona Driver’s License is necessary.
• Reliable transportation with current insurance and registration is essential.
• Ability to obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
• Must successfully pass criminal background and reference checks.
• Completion of Article Nine Training is mandatory.
• Certification in Adult/Child/Infant CPR and First Aid is required.
• Willingness to work weekends and evenings as dictated by consumer/family needs.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Excellent communication and social skills are essential.
• Ability to initiate tasks necessary for the effective operation of programs.
• Capability to perform well under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving skills are required.
