Overnight Emergency Department Radiologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Interpret a wide range of emergency imaging modalities, including CT scans, radiographs, ultrasound, and MRI.

• Provide overnight coverage for both the academic University hospital and its affiliated community hospitals within the health system.

• Follow a work schedule consisting of 7 consecutive night shifts followed by 21 nights off, totaling approximately 13 weeks per year.

• Support a workflow primarily focused on the emergency department with minimal inpatient cross-coverage.

• Share responsibilities and have access to a second attending for consultations during each shift.

• Collaborate with in-house radiology residents.

• Offer direct teaching and supervision to residents during overnight shifts.

• Engage in formal didactic teaching and academic participation.

• Contribute to educational initiatives, clinical care enhancement, clinical innovation, and research efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be board-certified or board-eligible.

• Required to hold an MD or DO degree and be eligible for a license in Massachusetts.

• Fellowship training in Emergency Radiology is preferred but not mandatory.

• Must be comfortable making independent, high-stakes decisions during overnight shifts.

• Strong enthusiasm for teaching and involvement in academic activities.

• Excellent interpretative skills across various emergency imaging techniques.

• Ability to work efficiently within a collaborative, technology-driven remote practice environment.
