Outreach Specialist I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Make a high volume of outbound calls to arrange appointments with licensed Nurse Practitioners for members’ in-home health risk assessments.

• Respond to incoming calls from members and case managers and promptly return voicemail messages.

• Reach out to Health Plan members using provided lists to secure appointments with field providers.

• Adhere to specific talking points and protocols during member outreach calls.

• Efficiently schedule visits utilizing scheduling software and available provider capacity.

• Deliver exceptional customer service and articulate the significance of completing annual assessments.

• Utilize up to six software applications simultaneously while on calls.

• Conduct follow-up calls one business day prior to scheduled visits.

• Confirm and verify demographic and contact information while adhering to HIPAA guidelines.

• Validate active insurance status and accurately input insurance information during patient registration.

• Report field-provider issues or concerns to the manager.

• Achieve performance standards, departmental objectives, and metrics.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Access, and various internet-based applications.

• Self-driven and capable of working independently.

• Proven ability to quickly establish telephonic relationships with potential customers.

• Over 1 year of call center experience or relevant tele-sales background.

• Basic understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with integrated voice/IT systems.

• Flexibility to work varied hours to accommodate needs across all markets and time zones.
