Outreach Specialist I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Make a significant number of outbound calls to arrange appointments with licensed Nurse Practitioners in patients’ residences.

• Respond to incoming calls from members and case managers while promptly returning voicemail messages.

• Reach out to Health Plan members to set up appointments for comprehensive health risk assessments.

• Adhere to talking points and protocols during member outreach communications.

• Efficiently schedule visits utilizing scheduling software and the availability of providers.

• Clarify the importance of completing the annual health assessment.

• Employ up to six software applications at the same time while on calls.

• Perform follow-up calls one business day prior to scheduled appointments.

• Confirm and verify demographic and contact details while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

• Validate active insurance status and accurately input insurance information during patient registration.

• Elevate field-provider issues to the manager.

• Achieve performance standards, departmental objectives, and metrics.

• Collaborate effectively with CHA clinical and administrative teams, members, and insurance providers.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Access, and various internet-based applications.

• Self-driven and capable of working autonomously.

• Proven ability to quickly establish telephonic relationships with prospective clients.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a call center or relevant tele-sales role.

• Basic understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with integrated voice/IT systems.

• Flexibility to work hours that accommodate all markets and time zones.
