Outreach Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Make over 140 outbound calls each day to eligible health plan members.

• Provide education to members in both English and Spanish regarding Mae's services and doula support.

• Foster trust through culturally sensitive and empathetic communication.

• Address inquiries and concerns effectively.

• Aim to secure enrollments during live conversations whenever feasible.

• Assist members throughout the onboarding process.

• Achieve daily outreach and monthly enrollment objectives.

• Prioritize outreach efforts using internal systems and enrollment targets.

• Accurately document outreach activities using CRM tools.

• Identify barriers to conversion and proactively communicate solutions.

• Provide insights on patterns, trends, and recurring member issues.

• Escalate any operational or technical problems promptly.

• Contribute suggestions for enhancing outreach quality and conversion rates.

• Report directly to the Member Services Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in patient outreach, healthcare engagement, enrollment, or high-volume call settings.

• Demonstrated success in meeting or surpassing performance goals.

• Comfortable managing a high volume of outbound calls.

• Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote environment.

• Excellent influencing and motivational communication capabilities.

• Emotional resilience when dealing with rejection or sensitive discussions.

• Highly organized with strong time management skills.

• Proficient with Slack, Gmail, CRM systems, and digital tools.

• Quick to learn in fast-paced settings.

• Experience with Medicaid populations or health plan members is preferred.

• Background in maternal health, community health, or social services is preferred.

• Reliable high-speed internet connection.

• A private and quiet workspace that is suitable for confidential conversations.

• Authorized to work in the U.S. as confirmed through E-Verify.

• Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish.
