This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii.
• Work in collaboration with YouthLine leadership to strategize and execute statewide outreach and engagement efforts.
• Discover opportunities to enhance awareness, utilization, and accessibility of YouthLine services across Hawaii.
• Evaluate community needs, identify service gaps, and recognize emerging trends to guide outreach and prevention priorities.
• Assist in the development, execution, and assessment of statewide outreach initiatives and programs.
• Create and coordinate outreach activities that promote YouthLine, youth mental health resources, and suicide prevention services.
• Conduct presentations, training sessions, workshops, prevention education lessons, and various educational opportunities.
• Act as a representative for YouthLine at conferences, community events, coalition meetings, and public forums.
• Build and sustain partnerships with schools, colleges, youth-serving organizations, healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies.
• Enable collaboration among community partners and support underserved and historically marginalized communities.
• Offer consultation, technical support, resource navigation, and capacity-building assistance.
• Connect partners with training, certification opportunities, and statewide resources.
• Monitor outreach activities, partnerships, training involvement, and program outcomes.
• Keep records and documentation for outreach initiatives and grant obligations.
• Prepare reports and program updates for organizational leadership and funders.
• Engage in statewide meetings, task forces, committees, and collaborative efforts.
• Travel regularly to schools, community events, forums, and meetings throughout Hawaii.
• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, Public Health, journalism, marketing, or a related communications discipline.
• At least two (2) years of experience in youth-serving, mental health, prevention, education, or community-based programs.
• Proven experience in developing and sustaining community partnerships.
• Experience in delivering presentations, training sessions, workshops, or educational programming.
• Supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership and team development capabilities.
• Strong public speaking, facilitation, and communication competencies.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and capability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Proven ability to foster authentic relationships with diverse communities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based systems.
• Willingness to travel throughout Hawaii, including occasional overnight trips.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• All employees must be approved to work by the Oregon Department of Human Services’ Background Check Unit.
• A Master's degree, crisis intervention or suicide prevention training, and relevant behavioral health/community experience are preferred.
• $2.00/hour differential for employees holding a Master’s degree.
• $1.00/hour differential for hours worked in the office when regularly on-site at least three days per week.
