Outpatient Medical Coder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute precise coding assignments for outpatient facilities, same-day surgeries, and observation records.

• Leverage and expand coding proficiency.

• Achieve client productivity goals while ensuring a coding quality of 95% or higher.

• Operate independently within a consistent regular schedule.

• Utilize remote connectivity tools, office applications, and communication platforms to facilitate coding tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certification from AHIMA or AAPC.

• A minimum of three years of coding experience in an acute care environment.

• Proven track record in accurately assigning ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes across various outpatient records.

• Technical skills in remote connectivity, including virtual private networks, multi-factor authentication via mobile devices, and video conferencing tools.

• Proficient in using Outlook for email, calendar management, and Excel for spreadsheets.

• Commitment to a regular schedule with dependable and timely attendance.

• Capability to meet client productivity metrics while sustaining a coding quality of 95% or above.

• Ability to work autonomously.

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.
