This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage and oversee database systems that support AAO applications.
• Provide support for Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL platforms.
• Implement principles of database design, development, and integration.
• Install, configure, upgrade, migrate, provision, secure, patch, back up, and recover enterprise database systems.
• Assist in the management of mission-critical database systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve intricate database issues alongside other DBAs.
• Support database architectures focused on high availability and disaster recovery.
• Address trouble tickets within the stipulated SLA timelines.
• Take part in an on-call DBA rotation.
• Collaborate in a dynamic team setting.
• A Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may substitute for formal education.
• 6–8 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Capability to obtain the necessary security clearance.
• NACI (T1) public trust requirement is essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, and Oracle SQL.
• Experience with Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL databases.
• Proven experience supporting mission-critical database management systems.
• Demonstrated ability in installing, configuring, upgrading, migrating, provisioning, securing, patching, backing up, and recovering enterprise database systems.
• Familiarity with Unix, PowerShell, or another scripting language.
• Experience in configuring and supporting MS SQL Availability Groups (AGs), Distributed Availability Groups (DAGs), Oracle Data Guard, and MySQL master-slave replication.
• Proven skills in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and MS T-SQL.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux and MS Windows operating systems in a VMware environment.
• Flexibility in scheduling for on-call DBA rotation and SLA response obligations.
• Strong communication, presentation, documentation, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
