Oracle Financials Solution Architect – Finance to Manage, EBS, Fusion

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of Finance management across General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and the closing process for various customer engagements.

• Spearhead finance discovery sessions with controllers, accounting, AP, AR, and treasury teams.

• Evaluate existing configurations, reports, and closing checklists; differentiate between actual requirements and habitual practices or workarounds.

• Convert legacy finance models into Oracle designs that encompass the chart of accounts, ledgers, currencies, legal entities, business units/operating units, and balancing segments.

• Design Subledger Accounting and Accounting Hub rules, including intercompany transactions, multi-currency handling, revaluation, translation, tax, and financial reporting.

• Conduct fit-gap analysis to determine necessary configurations, process modifications, extensions, or third-party product considerations.

• Hands-on configuration of GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management in both EBS and Fusion.

• Configure Fusion utilizing Functional Setup Manager, Enterprise Structures Configurator, and rapid-implementation spreadsheets.

• Set up EBS using configuration forms, FNDLOAD, and iSetup; design roles and responsibilities with an emphasis on segregation of duties.

• Oversee CRPs, SIT, UAT, defect triage, mock month-end closes, subledger-to-GL reconciliation, and legacy trial-balance comparisons.

• Design and configure Cost Accounting processes when applicable.

• Lead Oracle finance pre-sales discovery calls, solution workshops, demonstrations, and presentations.

• Develop solutions and estimates, including scope, methodology, assumptions, staffing, effort, and risk assessments.

• Contribute to proposals, RFP responses, and statements of work.

• Present finance and AI-driven solutions to AP clerks, CFOs, controllers, and other stakeholders.

• Serve as the primary finance liaison for client partners and Technical Program Managers.

• Provide finance expertise and reusable assets to the Tessera platform.

• Mentor and review Oracle finance subject matter experts, including offshore team members.

• Allocate approximately 60% of time to delivery, 25% to pre-sales/client leadership, and 15% to platform enablement/product input.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience with Oracle Financials.

• Minimum of three full-lifecycle implementations as a finance lead or solution architect.

• Proficiency with both Oracle E-Business Suite R12.x and Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials, including at least one implementation of each.

• At least one implementation experience transitioning a customer from a different ERP system, such as PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, NetSuite, SAP ECC, or Infor.

• Hands-on configuration expertise in General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management in both EBS and Fusion.

• Strong knowledge in accounting and enterprise structure design, including chart of accounts, ledgers, legal entities, Subledger Accounting / Accounting Hub, intercompany transactions, multi-currency handling, and period-end closing.

• Demonstrated pre-sales experience on Oracle opportunities, encompassing discovery calls, solution demonstrations, orals, estimates, proposals, RFP responses, and statements of work.

• Capability to conduct workshops with finance teams and present to CFOs or controllers.

• Experience leading finance testing through go-live and initial closing phases, including CRPs, SIT, UAT, mock closes, and reconciliations.

• Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.

• Willingness to learn and achieve fluency in the Tessera platform within the first few months.

• Experience collaborating with distributed onshore, nearshore, and offshore delivery teams.

• Strong discipline in asynchronous communication.

• Excellent verbal and written business English skills.

• Strong presentation skills for both business and technical audiences.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• US work authorization must be addressed in the application form.

• Preferred qualifications include Cost Accounting, Fusion Revenue Management, Advanced Collections, financial reporting and consolidation tools, experience with PeopleSoft/JD Edwards/SAP ECC migrations, relevant industry experience, CPA/CA/ACCA or Oracle Financials certification, and AI/automation/RPA experience.

• Proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or German is a plus but not required.
