Oracle DBA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and enhance the performance of Oracle databases by analyzing SQL queries, concentrating on pinpointing bottlenecks and areas for enhancement.

• Assess execution plans, cardinality, indexes, joins, full table scans, and other aspects related to performance.

• Conduct SQL Tuning initiatives, identifying queries that exhibit high CPU, I/O, or memory usage, or those with prolonged execution times.

• Review, analyze, and optimize PL/SQL code, which includes procedures, functions, packages, triggers, cursors, PL/SQL blocks, jobs, and automated processes, recommending and executing improvements to achieve better efficiency, stability, and scalability in Oracle environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Extensive experience as a Senior Oracle DBA.

• In-depth knowledge of Oracle database administration.

• Proven experience in analyzing and enhancing Oracle database performance.

• High-level proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.

• Familiarity with SQL Tuning and execution plan assessment.

• Understanding of indexes, cardinality, statistics, joins, and strategies for query optimization.

• Proficient in identifying and rectifying performance bottlenecks concerning CPU, memory, and I/O.

• Experience in optimizing Procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers, and Cursors.

• Familiarity with Oracle performance monitoring and diagnostic tools.

• Knowledge of Oracle AWR, ASH, and ADDM.

• Experience in high-availability and mission-critical environments.

• Proficient in automating database administration routines.

• Understanding of Oracle environment architecture and capacity planning.

• Oracle certifications relevant to database administration and performance tuning.
