This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +1 more country.
• Oversee Oracle database administration and modernization initiatives within a diverse DBA team.
• Provide guidance and support to Senior DBAs in areas of database management, troubleshooting, and operational tasks.
• Promote the adoption of authentic DevOps methodologies within DBA operations.
• Streamline operational and administrative database processes through scripting and infrastructure-as-code techniques.
• Establish and uphold continuous delivery and deployment pipelines.
• Upgrade and transition PL/SQL-based applications.
• Manage and maintain Oracle databases in Unix/Linux environments.
• Conduct Oracle SQL optimization using execution plans, indexes, hints, and knowledge of legacy optimizer behaviors.
• Design and manage schemas and data models in the context of legacy ERP systems.
• Install, patch, and upgrade Oracle databases.
• Oversee RMAN and Oracle Enterprise Manager functions.
• Support Oracle E-Business Suite R12 environments.
• Administer and troubleshoot SOA, WebLogic, Portal, and IAM environments.
• Manage EBS concurrent managers.
• Configure WebLogic clustering and perform JVM tuning.
• Develop and leverage AWS CloudFormation templates to automate AWS image creation.
• Utilize Git and version control methodologies in database development and deployment.
• Implement enhanced database monitoring and alerting systems.
• Collaborate within Agile product delivery teams.
• Mentor, coach, and impart technical expertise to DBA team members.
• Foster continuous improvement, effective troubleshooting, and operational stability.
• Support the Legal Aid Agency's digital service modernization by ensuring stable, secure, and adaptable databases.
• Extensive expertise in AWS Cloud services, including EC2, RDS, Lambda, and S3.
• Profound experience in establishing and maintaining continuous delivery and deployment pipelines.
• Advanced experience in upgrading and migrating PL/SQL-based applications.
• Strong background with Oracle Database versions 10g, 11g, and 12c on Unix/Linux systems.
• In-depth expertise in Oracle SQL optimization, including execution plans, indexes, hints, and legacy optimizer nuances.
• Significant experience in schema design and data modeling within a legacy ERP framework.
• Proficient in Oracle database installation, patching, and upgrades.
• Practitioner-level experience with RMAN and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Extensive knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite R12.
• Expertise in SOA, WebLogic, Portal, and IAM environments.
• Advanced experience with EBS concurrent managers.
• Familiarity with WebLogic clustering and JVM optimization.
• Experience in automating administrative tasks through scripting.
• Practitioner-level understanding of Git.
• Ability to create and apply AWS CloudFormation templates for automating AWS image creation.
• Practitioner-level experience participating in Agile product delivery teams.
• Strong mentoring, coaching, and knowledge transfer skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting capabilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Adaptable, collaborative, and passionate about learning and problem-solving.
• Experience with database version control tools such as Flyway or similar is preferred.
• Must be eligible to obtain Ministry of Justice SC Clearance.
• Must be legally authorized to live and work in the country where the position is based without employer sponsorship.
• Remote work arrangement.
• Occasional travel for workshops or meetings may be necessary, though frequent travel is unlikely.
