This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas, +1 more state.
• Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise database solutions within a cloud environment.
• Act as the technical expert in PL/SQL development for OCI DBA.
• Create and execute integration and database architectures utilizing OCI and Oracle Database for multi-cloud applications.
• Design, develop, and enhance PL/SQL packages, procedures, and workflows.
• Perform proactive database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
• Work collaboratively with established teams to design and implement solutions for Oracle SCM modules.
• Implement database and integration security measures, authentication, and encryption best practices in line with Department of Defense standards.
• Diagnose and resolve intricate integration and database issues across OCI, OIC, and on-premises settings.
• Partner with customers to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Mentor and offer technical guidance to developers and integration teams.
• Keep architectural diagrams, technical documentation, and design standards up to date.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree or nine (9) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proficient in AWS environments, including EC2, CloudWatch, RDS, and S3.
• Skilled in Oracle Database installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, and Data Pump.
• Experienced with Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN), focusing on backup configuration, restore and recovery operations, backup validation, and point-in-time recovery.
• Knowledgeable in configuring and troubleshooting Oracle Net Services, including listeners, TNS configuration, service registration, and database connectivity.
• Experienced in managing tablespaces, datafiles, redo logs, archive logs, and database storage utilization.
• Capable of diagnosing database performance and availability issues using Oracle alert and trace logs, AWR reports, execution plans, dynamic performance views, and various Oracle diagnostic tools.
• Experience in applying Oracle Database Release Updates and other patches via OPatch and datapatch.
• Proficient in implementing and maintaining Oracle database security controls, including STIGs, Unified Auditing, users, roles, privileges, and profiles.
• Familiar with administering Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), including job automation, agent deployment and management, monitoring, and alert configuration.
• Able to evaluate database performance, availability, capacity, and reliability issues and suggest suitable changes.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration.
• Preferred experience with Oracle Database 19c.
• Preferred proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration.
• Preferred working knowledge of Bash scripting.
• Oracle Database Administration 2019 Certified Professional certification preferred.
