This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as a Database Administrator within an agile scrum team, providing support for web applications for a federal government client.
• Participate in all agile ceremonies.
• Fulfill user stories within specified deadlines as part of two-week sprints.
• Aid in optimizing database infrastructure and enhancing performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve query performance and address related issues.
• Over 3 years of comprehensive experience in database development.
• Proficient with Oracle databases hosted in Amazon RDS instances and skilled in SQL.
• Experience in creating new and modifying existing stored procedures, scripts, and triggers.
• Familiarity with writing batch jobs and querying complex databases.
• Proven ability to work alongside development teams to enhance query performance and resolve related issues.
• Experience with administrative tasks such as user and role creation, as well as managing database instances in both local and higher environments.
• Understanding of IT security and best practices in database management.
• Strong expertise in RDBMS systems.
• Proficient in writing, tuning, and troubleshooting SQL queries.
• Knowledgeable in SQL development tools like SQL Developer and TOAD.
• Exceptional statistical, analytical, and conceptual thinking skills.
• Ability to swiftly adapt and reassess priorities to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal and presentation abilities.
• Keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the capability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DHS suitability, which requires U.S. citizenship.
• Required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States upon hire.
