This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the architecture, design, and execution of scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise database solutions within a cloud setting.
• Act as the technical expert in PL/SQL development for OCI DBA.
• Create and implement integration and database architectures utilizing OCI and Oracle Database for multi-cloud applications.
• Design, develop, and enhance PL/SQL packages, procedures, and workflows.
• Perform proactive database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
• Work collaboratively with established teams to design and implement solutions for Oracle SCM modules, ensuring data integrity.
• Implement database and integration security, authentication, and encryption best practices, adhering to Department of Defense standards.
• Diagnose and resolve intricate integration and database challenges across OCI, OIC, and on-premises environments.
• Partner with clients on root cause analysis and corrective measures.
• Guide developers and integration teams, providing them with technical leadership.
• Maintain architectural diagrams, technical documentation, and design standards.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Security+ (Sec+) Certification is required.
• Experience in AWS environments, including EC2, CloudWatch, RDS, and S3.
• Proficient in Oracle Database administration, encompassing installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, and Data Pump.
• Experience with Oracle Database 19c is preferred.
• Familiarity with Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN), including backup setup, restoration and recovery, backup verification, and point-in-time recovery.
• Skilled in configuring and troubleshooting Oracle Net Services, such as listeners, TNS configuration, service registration, and database connectivity.
• Experience in managing tablespaces, datafiles, redo logs, archive logs, and database storage utilization.
• Ability to diagnose database performance and availability challenges using Oracle alert and trace logs, AWR reports, execution plans, dynamic performance views, and other Oracle diagnostic tools.
• Experience applying Oracle Database Release Updates and patches using OPatch and datapatch.
• Knowledge in implementing and maintaining Oracle database security measures, including STIGs, Unified Auditing, users, roles, privileges, and profiles.
• Experience administering Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), involving job automation, agent deployment and management, monitoring, and alert configuration.
• Ability to evaluate database performance, availability, capacity, and reliability issues and suggest improvements.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration, including installation, configuration, backup and recovery, patching, security, and troubleshooting.
• Preferred: expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration within Oracle environments.
• Preferred: familiarity with Bash scripting, shell environments, and user/profile configuration.
• Preferred: Oracle Database Administration 2019 Certified Professional certification.
