OPI/VRI Interpreter – Turkish to English

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Have a thorough understanding of the specific vocabulary related to the industry in which the interpreter operates, particularly in healthcare and medical contexts.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or altering any content.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during interpreting sessions.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and comprehensive interpretation of messages.

• Implement established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for acquiring new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report regularly to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code guidelines for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Turkish".

• At least 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.

• Possession of international certifications in the healthcare sector is a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and capability to embrace diverse cultures.

• Exceptional communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
