OPI/VRI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Georgia.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Possess familiarity with the specific vocabulary pertinent to the healthcare and medical industry.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, refraining from adding, omitting, or substituting content.

• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the interpretation process.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and Clients by providing precise interpretation of messages.

• Implement established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and report to your team leader.

• Adhere to the dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Georgian".

• At least 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is advantageous.

• International certifications within the healthcare sector are a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
