Operations Specialist – Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Establish connections and foster relationships with salon managers, franchise owners, and internal teams.

• Coach, inspire, and guide salon managers, general managers, and franchise owners to enhance salon performance and growth.

• Oversee and document adherence to the Great Clips operating system and brand standards.

• Assess salon operations and offer recommendations for performance enhancement.

• Conduct salon audits utilizing Great Clips tools and resources.

• Mentor and develop salon managers through targeted performance feedback and growth resources.

• Collaborate with franchise owners and Great Clips personnel to boost performance and growth.

• Manage designated market budgets to achieve expense and net salon objectives.

• Cultivate trust with franchise owners to promote positive organizational development.

• Inspire large audiences through public speaking and lead presentations.

• Serve the Omaha and Des Moines markets with regular travel to salons and company meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a resident of Omaha, Nebraska, or Des Moines, Iowa.

• Availability for part-time work of 25–30 hours weekly.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-secondary business education or equivalent, along with 4 years of salon or retail management experience is required.

• Willingness to travel and work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, is necessary.

• Ability to travel 40–60% of the time is required.

• Access to reliable, secure internet for remote work.

• Capability to lift up to 20 pounds is essential.

• Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and influence others.

• A customer service orientation is essential.

• Competence in conducting workshops and presentations.

• Basic financial understanding is required.

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.

• Familiarity with Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and internet functionalities.

• Knowledge of retail operations, including real estate, construction, marketing, and training is advantageous but not mandatory.
