Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accurately and promptly process freight and parcel claims across various carriers and clients.

• Collaborate with operations, customer success, and data teams to address shipment loss or damage claims.

• Assess and manage claims related to loss, damage, or delay in accordance with company policies and carrier agreements.

• Determine liability and identify suitable settlements based on shipping documentation.

• Keep detailed, accurate, and audit-ready records of all claims.

• Analyze root causes and claim patterns among clients and carriers.

• Contribute to ongoing improvements, process automation, and preventive strategies.

• Utilize AI tools to enhance claim documentation, reporting, and analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Communicate effectively with carriers, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth claims processing.

• Examine shipping documents, such as bills of lading, proof of delivery, and carrier notes, to establish liability and define appropriate settlements.

• Accurately input and update claim information in the tracking system, ensuring complete and audit-ready records.

• Utilize AI tools, including SiftedAI and Claude, for claim documentation, report creation, and root-cause analysis.

• Identify claim trends among clients and carriers, sharing insights to support operational enhancements and preventive measures.

• Engage in team meetings, project discussions, and innovation sessions aimed at process automation and continuous improvement.

• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, formulas, pivot tables, large datasets, and dashboard creation.

• Exhibit strong attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume transactional tasks under tight deadlines.

• Possess exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders, including carriers and clients.

• Approach problem-solving with curiosity and proactivity, successfully seeing issues through to resolution.

• Be open and willing to adopt AI as a fundamental tool for problem-solving and innovation.

• Maintain strong organizational and multitasking capabilities with a solution-oriented mindset.

• A high school diploma or GED is required.

• No minimum years of experience are necessary.

• Previous experience in parcel, freight, or claims processing is advantageous.

• Preferred postsecondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business.
