This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee a portfolio of Licensed Organisations, mainly schools, colleges, local authorities, charities, youth groups, pupil referral units, and youth justice settings.
• Offer daily support, guidance, and training to organizations implementing DofE programmes.
• Cultivate robust relationships, foster programme expansion, and enhance participation.
• Assist young individuals, especially those encountering barriers to participation, in benefiting from DofE programmes.
• Complete an extensive handover and assume responsibility for the designated portfolio.
• Establish and sustain positive connections with Licensed Organisations.
• Provide induction, training, and development opportunities for DofE staff and volunteers.
• Create and execute action plans in collaboration with partners.
• Monitor performance, participation, and targets utilizing DofE management systems and reporting tools.
• Conduct regular online and in-person meetings with Licensed Organisations.
• Assist with licence reviews and play a role in licensing new organisations.
• Enhance participation among marginalized and underrepresented groups.
• Aid in grant applications, project monitoring, and reporting.
• Support national DofE events, which may involve occasional overnight stays and weekend work.
• Collaborate with colleagues throughout the UK on various projects and working groups.
• Contribute to the execution of the DofE strategy and England business plan.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Capacity to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
• Excellent organizational and administrative capabilities.
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities.
• Superior written communication, proofreading, and editing skills.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills, both online and in person.
• Solution-oriented mindset with the confidence to challenge subpar practices.
• Ability to analyze data, recognize trends, and take suitable actions.
• Proficient IT skills, including expertise in Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Access to a vehicle during the workweek.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the portfolio area.
• Reside in or near the portfolio area.
• Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, including references for gaps in employment or education.
