This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports while ensuring exceptional service levels.
• Take charge of company Health & Safety and foster a culture of excellence.
• Actively promote BaxterStorey within the South Wales market and seek growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with sales teams on leads, tenders, presentations, and site tours.
• Conduct market research to pinpoint business development prospects and emerging market sectors.
• Develop relationships with prospective clients and facilitate the mobilization of new contracts.
• Follow up on leads and secure appointments.
• Monitor and contribute to client Service Level Agreements, reporting on performance trends.
• Cultivate client relationships while ensuring onsite managers remain the primary contacts.
• Ensure direct reports fulfill client needs, contractual obligations, and align with company values.
• Manage contract finances within budget and report to the Operations Director.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Conduct quarterly Health & Safety site audits and communicate any new policies.
• Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and teams to identify service enhancements and share feedback.
• Recruit, onboard, appraise, coach, mentor, and develop direct reports.
• Draft job descriptions and person specifications.
• Assist with grievance and disciplinary procedures.
• Create development, improvement, and succession plans.
• Recognize and reward outstanding performance.
• Proven experience in successfully managing multi-site operations and multiple clients.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
• Experience in managing service level agreements and key performance indicators.
• Background in leading a department or business function.
• Competence in data analysis, with the ability to interpret and present data within a business context, including proposals.
• Proven experience in presenting management information and compiling and reporting statistics for performance assessment.
• Some experience in a catering environment is preferred.
• Up-to-date knowledge of current foodservice developments and culinary trends.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, at least at an intermediate level.
• Strong understanding of employment laws related to grievance, disciplinary actions, managing attendance, and recruitment.
• Solid knowledge of Health & Safety processes and their application.
• Charismatic leadership abilities, capable of building trust and engaging with all levels.
• Strong influencing and motivational skills.
• Strategic insight and commercial acumen.
• Excellent decision-making capabilities and the ability to maintain objectivity while responding swiftly to external situations.
• Ability to establish compelling visions and develop ambitious objectives.
• Willingness to travel across South Wales and to the UK for broader business events and meetings.
• Must be prepared to spend at least 60% of time on-site at client locations.
